CULTIVATE AND NOURISH OUR INNER BEAUTY

CULTIVATE AND NOURISH OUR INNER BEAUTY

1 Peter 3: 1-12
In verses 1-7, the apostle describes the duties of husbands and wives one to another, beginning with the duty of the wife. Wives, should be submissive to their husbands. Even if, in the worldly terms, they are not the bread provider, or smarter enough to take the upper hand in the family, they are the ones appointed by God as the head of the family. His wife and children should be submissive to his authority (like the church submits itself to Jesus, her head - Ephesians 5:23).

Likewise the husbands should take care of their wives with understanding & honour, as they are the co-heirs of the grace of life.
To one another – we should love our fellow beings with compassion, tender heart and with courteousness. Don’t return evil for evil or insult for insult, anyone can do that. On the contrary, BLESS the ones who do harm to you, as we are called for that. Refrain our tongues from evil and our lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good. Seek peace and follow it.

Because the eyes of the Lord is on the righteous ones and His ears are open to their prayers.

Be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ.

2017 - Year of Magnified Glory

Happy New Year 2017

Mark 12:11: the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes?”
Psalms 118: 23 : This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

God's riches are hidden in His glory. When He blesses you with this glory, we will become strengthened in spirit and that will make you closer to Christ.

Ephesians 3:16 - That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Don't live just a Christian life, but live as a family member of God's family, enjoying all the riches that He provides, utilising all the authorities He has given us, taking victory over evil and sin.

While facing any problems in the situations around us - remember these verses
Psalms 118: 6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Hebrews 13:6-7 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Why should we fear, when the God of Gods, King of Kings, is by our side, always ready to help us and protect us...

While feeling left out in any personal problems, cancel it declaring these verse:
Psalms 118: 17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Fight the sorrows and disappointments in life with the promises given to us in the Word of God.

Then you will be lifted in the place where you were humiliated;

Psalms 118: 22-24 The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
23 the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.

This year, Jesus will manifest His glory upon us all, so that all our days will be rejoiced ones...

Temple of the Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 6:19-2(NIV) 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies
In the old testament days Almighty God resided on Temple and Tabernacle. These places are kept with utmost purity that normal man couldn't even think about entering it. God spoke to people through prophets. The intercession of Holyspirit was not given to everyone during that time. The presence of Holyspirit was seen only in certain situations like during the creation of earth, and the Spirit came upon people as Joshua, David etc.

But before His crucifixion, Jesus told His disciples about a Helper whom God will send - to teach us, to guide us in the right way and help us understand the right and wrong.
John 14:26  But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things: and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
And as per His promise, on the Pentecostal day, when the Apostles gathered on one place, Holy Spirit descended upon them in the form of tongues of fire (Acts 2). From then onwards the body of the believers became the temple of Holyspirit

What are our responsibilities as the temple of Christ?
  1. We need to understand fully that we are not ordinary human beings. We are brought with a price, which is the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:18 - It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors,
  2. Since we are obtained with a price, we need to change ourselves completely so that God can dwell in us.
Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
In (Exodus 36), God instructed Moses the different methods by which His tabernacle need to be built, the level of purity in which it needs to be maintained so that Almighty can dwell in it. In the same manner, Our bodies which are to be the temple of Holy Spirit  should be maintained holy. For that we need to wash away our sins with the blood of Christ and make ourselves white as snow.
  1. We need to have absolute control over our body and emotions.

Romans 12:1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
We should nourish our soul by drinking the milk of salvation, that is the Word of God. Read and meditate the Word daily. Spend time with God. Talk to Him and hear His Words.
May Jesus bless you all....

Work out your Salvation

Verse for Meditation: Philippians 2: 2-16

Philippians 2:12 says work out for your salvation.

What does that mean? Does it mean that we have to work a lot for obtaining the salvation?
Of course NO. When we became the children of God, we became the heirs of God's grace, His goodness and all of His riches
Romans 8:17 - Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ
Galatians 4:7 - So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

Then what does this work out means? We use this word - work out - in the context of exercises. We go to gym to do work out. What is the result of doing work out? The muscles are not getting created when we are working out, but the muscles that are already there inside our body will get improved and strengthened.

In the same way, the riches of God (ie Joy, Peace and Rest) that are already deposited inside us will get strengthened and will start to produce results when we work out the salvation.
Joy - the joy that the word of God provides us is above all the happiness that the world provides and it is ever lasting, unlike the worldly happiness.
Peace - If you trust in God with all your heard and if you have rock like faith in Him, we can have 100% peace in midst of all the problems you are going through, because we know that this situation is going to pass through soon and we will reach the land where milk and honey flows...
Rest -  Rest is the complete relaxation of mind... the same state of a child who completely know that his parents will take care of all his needs and he don't have to worry about anything.. Like wise if you have complete trust in Lord, you can put all your worries in His shoulders and be relaxed and patiently wait till He solves the situation according to His glory - which will be so perfect that you didn't even imagine.

What are the work outs you need to do to inherit these riches?

1. First and foremost - Read the Word of God (1 peter 2:2) - every day. Word of God, which is the food for our soul - which keeps our soul alive and helps it to grow healthly in Jesus Christ.

2. Spend time with God (John 8:47)- every day - spend some time alone praying and listening to His voice, listen to what He has to talk to us.

3. Control your words and thoughts (Jacob 3:4-5) - always think positive, talk the words of upliftment. let the people around you get encouraged and consolation. Let people realise that you are a child of God by your words and deeds.

4. He Humble and Obedient (Phil 2:5-8) - Always remember that Jesus was humble and obedient to God that he even gave His life for us. Treat all others as if they are better than yourselves. If you humble yourself, God will life you up.

5. Do not complain or argue (Phil 2: 14) - Obey your authorities and think that your family, friends, job,  superiors etc are given to you by God and He will always select the best for you.

Conclusion:
Always keep in mind that we are the privileged lot to be called and selected as the children of God. Our father is the creator of the universe. Always live in that dignity. Show the world that we are the Royal people - the family members of God the Almighty father. Be in intersession with the Holy Spirit so that all the ways you select should lead to eternity.

Philippians 2: 2-16 (NIV)

2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
14 Do everything without complaining or arguing,
15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
16as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

Matthew 1 - Birth of Jesus

MATTHEW

Chapters: 28
Author - Matthew - Apostle of Christ

MATTHEW 1 - BIRTH OF JESUS

Jesus' birth was much awaited by the Jews, as God them promised that the Messiah - the Saviour will be born from the Jews itself.

There are a lot of references about the birth of Jesus Christ in the old testament.

God promised Abraham in Genesis 22.18 through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed...

Again He promised David in 2 Samuel 7:12-16 that I will raise up your offspring to establish his own Kingdom..

(Mathew 1.1   referred Jesus as the son of David,  of Abraham )

Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 7.14 that a virgin will give birth to a child...

Jesus came to this world as the much awaited promise of God, the king of Jews who established His own Kingdom in this world. .. to save people from slavery..

Jesus is born of a woman, but not by normal union, but by the power of the Almighty . He became a complete man and complete God in this way.

He was created just like Adam... directly from God. He was the second Adam. But through Adam sin entered the world and Jesus came to defeat the sin and to take victory over the death.

Mathew 1.21  Jesus saves His people from their sins...
Jesus means "THE LORD SAVES.."
God sends His only son to earth to become a sacrifice for our sins and to save us from the wrath of His father Almighty.

Mathew 1.22, 23  ...  He is Immanuel ... God is with us... God no longer stays inside the church or tabernacle. . He stays within us...

Isaiah 43:2 says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

Isaiah 9:6, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Jesus came to this world and suffered all the pain and even the death in the cross for our sake. Through His death he made us all free from sins. He is with us always to guard us and guide us. We have to listen to His voice and walk in His way.

Genesis 1 - In the beginning

GENESIS

CHAPTERS: 50
AUTHOR: MOSES

CHAPTER 1  - GOD AS CREATOR

  • God - Elohim - the creator of the world and man.
  • He is the originator of all things in the world - we are serving a God who created the entire universe, all the living and non-living things in such a perfection. He is the perfect designer, architect, engineer and doctor.
  • He created everything so beautifully from void, empty and darkness - He is capable of making our life beautiful even if it seems to be empty and dark..
  • Holy spirit was hovering over the water - If the holy spirit comes in your life... you will walk in the dry land among the water of your problems. Spirit of Lord will bring life and power to what seemed to be dead and useless.
  • God used His word to create everything - Let there be light, Let the water gather" - God's words give life. God communicates to the world through His word. He sent Jesus to this world as His word. John 1:1 says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God..The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."
  • God made man in His own image - We are such a privileged lot to be made in God's own image. We are made with more care and love - unlike the other creations. We are His creations and nothing can separate us from God. We are the last in creation and we are created with a purpose. We need to seek what is God's expectation from us and need to fulfill that.
  • God gave us the authority to rule over all the other creations -   We are given the complete authority to take possession of the entire creations of the universe. But still we are not understanding our power. We are getting obliged to Satan - the ruler of this universe and living a life of slavery. God wants us to be aware of our power and rights and live a life of authority.
  • Finally God saw that whatever He created is good ... including us. We are so precious for Him. He made everything to be meaningful and complete.

Life in Christ

After living so many years under the false belief that I am in the right track as a Christian, God gave me a chance to understand His Words and to realise that I can become a true Christian and achieve salvation only by God's Grace and the unlimited Faith towards Jesus Christ.

Even though we were sinners, Jesus redeemed us through His blood, which He shed for us on the Cross. Jesus gave as a great privilege to be called as the Children of God, who shares the same rights that He himself has on Heaven.

How can we repay for this great love?
By living our life in the way He wants...
By not allowing the spirit of darkness to enter our lives and to take lead of our lives....
By not allowing our lives to go behind the worldly pleasures and idol worships....
By prioritising Jesus over and above everything....

And this is possible only by having constant fellowship with The Holy Spirit - the mediator that Jesus gave for us when He went back to heaven - to stay with us and to lead us in the correct way that lead to Heaven....
The weapon that we can use to fight against the evil's temptations is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14).

Reading and meditating the word of God will strengthen our Faith.

God blessed me abundantly and gave me a chance to study and understand His Word in the true sense. I am sharing the wisdom provided to me by Jesus through His HOLYSPIRIT.
